The Winnipeg office of CBRE is now an independent firm operating under the new moniker Capital Commercial Real Estate. It’s a new name, however the company has long-established roots in the Winnipeg market. Marcel Chartier founded Chartier & Associates Inc. in 1984. His sons Carey and Derrick joined him and the company grew to include commercial brokerage and management into northwestern Ontario and Saskatchewan and eventually across Canada. In 2002, the firm signed a license agreement to act as a local affiliate office of CBRE. This relationship allowed the company to continue to develop its local and national relationships, while providing its services for CBRE’s national accounts. Recently, the company rebranded and began operations as Capital Commercial Real Estate Services Inc. and Capital Property Management. The Chartiers have partnered with associates Rennie Zegalski and Trevor Clay to create this new company, bringing a vast amount of experience in commercial real estate as agents, brokers, consultants, developers and property managers in local and national markets. The company is in growth mode and will continue to operate from the second floor of 570 Portage Ave. (204-943-5700), where it employs more than 20 sales professionals, property managers and support staff.
